Pioneer Wisconsin

Hosted by Doris Platt, then Supervisor of Elementary School Services of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin, this 1958–1959 WHA-TV series brought historic images and stories of early Wisconsin life into middle school classrooms. Created for the Wisconsin School of the Air, Pioneer Wisconsin helped young viewers explore the people, places, and daily life of the state’s early settlement era.
