Wood Wind
Special | 7m 15s
The environmental art sculpture "Wood Wind" in Peninsula State Park in Door County.
"Wood Wind" was created with spears of ash wood planted in Door County's Tennison Bay and illuminated by small solar panels. Rocked by the waves near Peninsula State Park, and constantly changing in the light, "Wood Wind" was called an "instrument" by its creator Dan Engelke. The sculpture took its cues from the environment and played a kind of "love song" to this beloved state park.
